In response to the surging global demand for clean energy solutions, Tata Power Solar embarked on a revolutionary project, investing in a cutting-edge facility with an unparalleled manufacturing capacity of 4 GW for both solar cells and modules. Spanning over 6.5 lakh sq ft, the state-of-the-art plant stands out as one of the longest steel complexes, featuring innovative insulation with high-density mineral wool and fire-rated panels.

The primary objective of this endeavour is to make affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy accessible to all.
Beyond contributing to the fight against climate change by reducing carbon emissions, the facility is positioned to drive economic growth and job creation in the renewable energy sector. By meeting the growing market demand for solar panels, Tata Power Solar aims to play a pivotal role in advancing the global transition to renewable energy, contributing to a sustainable future.

The affair with steel in this project was nothing short of a strategic partnership. Opting for a pre-engineered steel building was a conscious and sustainable choice. Everest, the key collaborator, worked closely with Tata Power Solar and consultants to transform the vision of the largest solar cell and module manufacturing facility into reality. The engineering team, leveraging steel’s design flexibility, optimised construction processes and minimised raw material wastage. The commitment to excellence was evident throughout, with the project management and construction teams overcoming unforeseen challenges to ensure timely delivery.

Everest’s expertise in PEB construction, coupled with
cutting-edge technologies, played a crucial role in cost-saving optimisations. The project
prioritised eco-friendly practices, including sustainable waste management and environmentally responsible construction processes, reinforcing its commitment to a green and sustainable future.
