The much-anticipated moment has arrived as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is poised to inaugurate Gujarat’s long-awaited ‘Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge’ on February 25.

Constructed at a cost of Rs 978 crore, this 2.5 km-long marvel stands as India’s longest cable-stayed bridge, connecting Okha and Beyt in the sacred pilgrimage site of Dwarka. Initiated by the Modi government in 2017, the bridge is a significant milestone that has captured the attention of the nation.

This engineering feat plays a crucial role in enhancing connectivity to the revered Dwarkadhish Temple, a prominent pilgrimage destination. Before its construction, pilgrims had to rely on water transport to reach the temple in Beyt, Dwarka. The Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge not only reduces travel time but also symbolizes a seamless connection between devotion and modern infrastructure.

The impact of the bridge extends beyond mere connectivity; it has the potential to transform tourism and accessibility. As evidenced by interactions with tourists, the bridge is expected to boost tourism, reduce travel time, and enhance access to quality healthcare through the development of public infrastructure.
